Bar & Lounge Refurbishment

Overview

We were commissioned by Sand Martins Golf Club to refurbish the furniture throughout their bar and lounge area, helping to modernise the space while retaining the welcoming character of the club.

The project focused on restoring and upgrading existing furniture rather than replacing it, providing a cost-effective and sustainable solution that significantly improved the overall appearance and comfort of the venue.

The Brief

The club wanted to refresh its hospitality space to create a more inviting environment for members and guests. The existing furniture had become tired through years of daily use, with visible wear to upholstery, timber finishes, and seating areas.

Our brief included:

  • Refurbishment of bar and lounge chairs
  • Restoration and refinishing of wooden tables and chair frames
  • New upholstery throughout
  • Refurbishment and reupholstery of banquette seating
  • Delivering a durable finish suitable for a busy hospitality setting

Our Approach

We carefully assessed each piece of furniture to determine the best restoration method while preserving the quality and structure of the original pieces.

Furniture Restoration

All wooden tables and chair frames were professionally prepared, repaired where necessary, and refinished to restore their appearance and durability. The updated woodwork helped bring warmth and consistency back into the bar area.

Upholstery

The chairs were completely reupholstered using commercial-grade fabrics selected for both comfort and long-term performance. The refreshed upholstery modernised the look of the space while ensuring practicality for everyday use.

Banquette Seating

The banquette seating was fully refurbished and reupholstered to provide improved comfort and a clean, contemporary finish that complemented the rest of the interior.

The Result

The completed refurbishment transformed the club’s bar and lounge area into a more modern, comfortable, and welcoming space for members and visitors.
